Compulsive lying is an necessary evil, or is it?
You said, you lie because you need to complete a task, or just want to help someone, to achieve a goal, or any necessary requirements from others.
I do understand that, and sometimes it may really need to be that “necessary” evil. But most of the time, it will do harm that good.
Lying, no matter it is compulsive or not, will hurt relationship with you and others. For people who know you well, when you start lying, they will know immediately. You think you are doing a good job to protect something, but no, you are already hurting yourself and others.
You will find yourself not able to achieve, or very difficult to achieve, even a small goal because people don’t trust you anymore, which means they are going to check, validate, find out if this is really “the truth”.
You lose, even if you think that you win. You did not deliver result on time, you lose your goal one after another, and as a result, no body will give you any work to do because they don’t trust you, and they don’t know if you can accomplish that.
Why? Because they don’t know if you are going to tell another “compulsive lie”.
How to avoid and solve it? You can listen to this several times, and allow it to program your mind to reduce lying to minimum to none, so that you can gain trust, finish any task, and accomplishing all goals with people who trust you around you.
